Orchestra Primavera was born
in 1993 from a cooperation between the local authority of San Lazzaro di
Savena and
some junior high schools in Bologna area , for the implementation of a
laboratory-project aiming at developing the activity of chamber musics
among students and ex-students.
Since then the project has enlarged and at the moment the Orchestra
Primavera has about 60 elements (strings, woodwinds,piano and
percussions).Despite its recent institution, Orchestra Primavera has a good curriculum: in Italy it has played in various important happenings and has won various prizes at National competitions for Ensembles.
Within European Socrates project since last year it has taken part at an International exchange project together with French and German schools of Music performing concerts in Chaumont H.te Marne (France).
Conductors of the Orchestra areEmanuela Piccini (strings), Cristina Bertoli (woodwinds) and Giuliana Fugazzotto (piano and percussions); they care also about the transcription and the arrangement of the pieces.
Repertory of young musicians covers different periods of the history of Musics, ranging from baroque (Haendel) to classics (Beethoven, Mozart); from romantics (Brahms and Dvorak) up to Bartòk, Prokofiev, Gershwin, Piazzolla and Mancini. .
